Statement of Purpose

Genesee County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit Christian housing ministry dedicated to building, renovating and repairing standard housing by building, renovating and repairing simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low–income families in need. This web site shares the story of Habitat for Humanity and invites visitors to be a part of our housing ministry.

Genesee County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is chartered under the State of Michigan as a non-profit charitable corporation and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) 3 tax–exempt organization.

Genesee County Habitat for Humanity is committed to respecting the privacy of online visitors. In general, you can visit Genesee County Habitat’s web site without revealing who you are or anything about yourself.

Genesee County Habitat is pleased when young people visit our web site to learn more about the organization and the problem of poverty housing. Genesee County Habitat for Humanity does not knowingly solicit data from children and does not knowingly market to children.

Youth may participate in Genesee County Habitat activities based on the provisions in Genesee County Habitat’s Youth policy. Youth under the age of 18 who are interested in volunteering with Genesee County Habitat must have the permission of their legal guardian prior to registering with Genesee County Habitat.
