Flint BRAND
Flint BRAND stands for Building Resident Action by Neighborhood Design. Through the program grassroots organizations such as neighborhood associations, block-clubs, and crime watches are eligible to apply for up to $10,000 in support to help implement projects that create a visible, positive, and lasting change in the physical landscape of their community. As part of the Flint BRAND, Genesee County Habitat for Humanity staff will work hand-in-hand with community groups throughout the design, application, and implementation phases of a group's project to ensure that each project is a success. Habitat staff will also work with applicants to help leverage additional resources to support the successful implementation and long-term sustainability of each project.
Your group is in it for the long-haul, and so are we!
Project Application and Selection Process
Project applications must be submitted by February 28, 2025 at 5:00 pm. Applications may be submitted via email or in person at:

Eligible groups may submit only one application per project review round. It is required that each group meet with GCHFH staff prior to or at the time of submission. Projects will be selected based on feasibility, sustainability, and alignment with program guidelines. Groups that do not receive project approval during a given project review round will be provided with feedback that can be used to strengthen applications and are eligible to submit a revised application for consideration in the event that future applications rounds open up.
Project applications will be reviewed and voted on by an independent review panel consisting of Flint residents.
